Zach Holcomb - State President

Sun Praire High School


Zachary Holcomb is the Wisconsin SkillsUSA President for the 2010-2011 school year. He first learned about SkillsUSA during an assembly that welcomed freshman to high school. Zach then helped build an Air powered candy cannon for his first SkillsUSA project. April of 2010, was the biggest month of his SkillsUSA career to date. The Sun Prairie Chapter Business Procedure team he was a part of won second place at State Conference and he was elected President of Wisconsin SkillsUSA. Zach has also served as a Public Relations Chairperson and Vice President for his local chapter. He is continually challenging himself to take the next step forward and lead SkillsUSA in a positive direction. Zach strongly believes, “When waiting for the writing on the wall, one might realize the marker is in his own hand.”

Chelsea Krueger - State Vice President

Hartford Union High School

Chelsea Krueger is a senior at Hartford Union High School. This is her first year as a SkillsUSA State Officer, and is currently serving as your Wisconsin State Vice President. Chelsea has been a part of SkillsUSA for the past three years, and serves as his local chapter's President. She was encouraged to run for state office by his advisor and has enjoyed her time in office so far. SkillsUSA has given her excellent experiences and items for her resume. Many of her fondest high school memories are SkillsUSA related. Chelsea joined SkillsUSA as a sophomore. When Chelsea isn't involved in SkillsUSA events, she enjoys wake boarding, snowboarding, four wheeling, swimming, fishing, and music. In the future, Chelsea hopes to attend UW-Stout and become a packaging engineer. After high school, Chelsea hopes to be able to stay involved with the SkillsUSA organization as a future alumni member.

Cogan Kirchenwitz - State Treasurer

Pardeeville High School

Cogan Kirchenwitz is a sophomore at Pardeeville High School. He is serving as your Wisconsin State Treasurer for 2010-2011. Cogan enjoys SkillsUSA for the opportunities and skills it has given him. Outside of SkillsUSA, he enjoys playing football, basketball, and baseball. Cogan is also dedicated to other organizations such as Civil Air Patrol and Student Council. He enjoys being a leader and one day hopes to be nominated and appointed to the United States Naval Academy. If accepted he will pursue a commission as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Cogan loves SkillsUSA and strives to make SkillsUSA a more productive experience for its members.

Kayla Hartter - State Secretary

Bay Port High School


Kayla Hartter is a senior at Bay Port High School. This is her first year as a SkillsUSA State Officer where she is currently serving as your Wisconsin SkillsUSA Secretary. Kayla has been a part of SkillsUSA for the past year. She heard about SkillsUSA from her photography teacher, Aaron Rettler, who also serves as her advisor. Being a State Officer has opened many doors for Kayla and has introduced her to people that she would have never met otherwise. When Kayla is not partaking in SkillsUSA events and working, she can be found at an ice rink, spending time with friends, or watching sporting events. After High School, Kayla hopes to attend St Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin and major in Elementary Education. Kayla hopes to stay involved by being an active SkillsUSA Alumni.

Sheanna Williams - State Reporter

Phelps High School


Sheanna Williams is a senior at Phelps High School. She has been involved with SkillsUSA for two years and is currently serving as the State Reporter. This is her first year as a state officer. Her SkillsUSA advisor approached her and asked her to attend a meeting. Later he asked her to attend the Fall Leadership Conference. That conference made her realize what SkillsUSA had to offer. She wanted to become more involved, so her advisor told her about the state officer positions. She decided that that was something she wanted to be apart of. She looks at this position as a great opportunity to make friends, improve her skills, motivate members, and continue to achieve her goals.

District 1 Vice President - Lauren Arndt, Winter HS

Lauren Arndt is a senior at Winter High School and is currently serving as the Wisconsin SkillsUSA District 1 Vice President as well as her chapter’s President. This will be her fourth year in SkillsUSA and her third year as a chapter officer. She has done very well in competitions including placing 3rd in Advertising Design at the regional level, 1st place the last two years at the state level, and 8th place at the national level. She has also sung the national anthem at the State Conference Opening Ceremony the past two years. This year she hopes to become more involved with schools in her district as well as across the state and to continue meeting new people. Her favorite activities are singing, playing guitar, anything art related, snowboarding, and the outdoors. When she graduates, Lauren plans to major in graphic design and someday hopes to work for a record label to design album artwork and promotional materials.

District 3 Vice President - Kate Lowery, Wabeno HS


Kate Lowery is a junior at Wabeno High School. This is her third year in SkillsUSA and her first year in office. She is currently serving as your District 3 Vice President. Kate was inspired to join SkillsUSA by her father and advisor, Pat Lowery. SkillsUSA has helped Kate become more confident and a stronger leader. Outside of SkillsUSA, Kate enjoys playing volleyball, softball, snowboarding and skiing. Through SkillsUSA, Kate has met many new people and made life long memories. Kate is looking forward to the upcoming year in office because she wants to make a difference in Wisconsin SkillsUSA.

District 4 Vice President - Sarah Kolb, Sun Prairie HS


Sarah Kolb is a senior at Sun Prairie High School. She has been involved with SkillsUSA for four years and is currently serving as the District 4 Vice President. This is her second year as a state officer. Sarah joined SkillsUSA when her advisor asked her to become the chairperson of the Ways and Means committee. She quickly found that the organization welcomed her and allowed her voice to be heard. She is excited to start meeting new people and get others excited about SkillsUSA. Not only is she passionate about SkillsUSA, but she loves playing volleyball, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. With her busy schedule, she still maintains a balance between SkillsUSA and friends. SkillsUSA has helped Sarah find interest in her future career as an environmental engineer. She hopes to run again next year and continue to stay involved with the SkillsUSA organization.

District 6 Vice President - McCartney Renn, Baraboo HS


McCartney Renn is this years’ District 6 Vice President, a senior from Baraboo High School. This is McCartney’s third year in SkillsUSA and her first year as a state officer. She became involved in SkillsUSA when her welding teacher and SkillsUSA advisor, Ian Crammond, asked her to attend a meeting. Besides participating in welding and construction classes, McCartney plays the French horn in her high school’s symphony band. Outside of school, McCartney is involved in community service activities including Habitat for Humanity, Rotary & Optimist clubs and Red Cross blood drives. After high school, McCartney plans to attend a four-year college or university to major in math or science in preparation for medical school.
