Welcome to the SkillsUSA Advocacy Site
http://cqrcengage.com/skillsusa/ is the National SkillsUSA website to assist with Advocacy. It is a free service to SkillsUSA members and our partners that allows you to contact policymakers or reach the news media with your message.
Why advocate?
Every voice makes a difference. SkillsUSA advisors are subject matter experts who can help advocate for career and technical education (CTE). Your advocacy efforts are a key part of continuing the bipartisan support CTE receives in Congress, and that means funding for state programs and local schools.
There has always been an important relationship between the public and lawmakers. American citizens elect members of Congress and state government officials who have the duty to represent their interests. Lawmakers seek to represent the wishes of citizens while trying to be mindful of the needs of the nation or state. Often, compromise is required.
