Regional Competitions

SkillsUSA Wisconsin Regional Competitions give students the chance to build on their experience from District Events and prepare for the State Leadership and Skills Conference (SLSC). These events provide a more advanced, competitive environment that aligns closely with official SkillsUSA Technical Standards.

Held in January and February at technical colleges and universities across the state, Regionals offer hands-on, high-quality competitions hosted in partnership with participating campuses.

Competitions are typically coordinated and judged by college instructors, industry professionals, SkillsUSA advisors, and volunteers — giving students valuable opportunities to showcase their skills, network with professionals, and gain real-world experience.

  • Schools are also welcome to attend more than one regional event.

  • At least one registered advisor/chaperone must accompany each school.

🍽 Meals & Dietary Needs

A meal is provided for all registered student competitors, observers, and advisors/chaperones.
Please make sure to include any dietary restrictions during registration.

🧰 What to Bring

  • All participants must bring:

    • A resume

    • Any required safety equipment and dress as outlined in the SkillsUSA Technical Standards.

    • At the State level, no uploads are required. Everything will be handled on site. Students should simply bring their resume and any required materials for their specific competitions according to the Technical Standards. There is nothing you need to send or upload ahead of time unless you receive a specific email requesting it.
  • Be sure to check the contest-specific notes on the event website for any additional requirements.

⚠️ Multiple Contest Participation

  • Students might be able register for more than one contest at some Regional Events (will be noted on specific page), as long as:

    • Each contest is in a different category (Occupational, Technical, or Leadership)

    • The contest schedules do not overlap

  • Some contests may take the entire day, making multiple entries unfeasible.

  • Advisors are responsible for helping students coordinate their competition schedules and make sure they can successfully complete each event.

  • Annual Theme: SkillsUSA: Champion Your Future
The topic to be addressed by competitors in the 2025-2026 SkillsUSA Chapter Display, Prepared Speech and Promotional Bulletin Board competitions.
  • All Regional Competition Sites are hosting  Future-Ready Workforce Summits on site from 11 am – 12:30 pm with lunch provided!  Know someone who should attend, Business & Industry, New School Chapters, Future Advisors and Partners?
