SkillsUSA Regional – UW-Stout (2 day event!)

UW–Stout and Chippewa Valley Technical College have partnered to offer several exciting competition opportunities. The main event will remain at UW–Stout, with bus transportation provided to CVTC.

🔗 Registration Details

    (Note: Contests may close early if capacity is reached.)


💲 Registration Fees (includes lunch Friday)

  • Student Competitors: $40.00

  • Student Observers: $20.00

  • Advisors/Chaperones: $10.00


🏫 School Participation Guidelines

  • Schools may attend any regional competition, regardless of their physical location.

  • Schools are welcome to attend multiple regional events.

  • Each school must have at least one registered adult advisor or chaperone in attendance.

  • Lunch is included with registration for all participants.


🛠️ Contest & Competition Info

To prepare for contests, advisors have access to national technical standards through SkillsUSA Pathful. These may be shared with student members.

Please Note:

    • District, regional, and state-level events are condensed versions of national competitions.

    • Descriptions and technical standards reflect the full national format, but may be adapted locally due to time constraints.

    • At the State level, no uploads are required. Everything will be handled on site. Students should simply bring their resume and any required materials for their specific competitions according to the Technical Standards. There is nothing you need to send or upload ahead of time unless you receive a specific email requesting it.

    • Competition Participation Guidelines
      • Students may enter one Leadership/Occupational contest and one Skilled contest. Advisors are responsible for helping students manage their schedules. Some students may be limited to one contest due to scheduling conflicts.

      • All contests have limited spots and are first-come, first-served.

      • To ensure fair participation, a maximum entry limit per school (MAX PER SCHOOL) applies for popular events. This limit may be lifted two days before registration closes if space remains.

      • Minimum Participation Requirement: Competitions may be cancelled if the required minimum number of participants is not met.

      • All contestants must bring a resume and wear proper SkillsUSA attire, in accordance with Technical Standards.

Additive Manufacturing – HS Teams of 2 8 teams of 2 Thursday & Friday 2-day event. The regional competition at UW-Stout  requires the contestants to bring a computer with them that has a 3D modeling software installed that they wish to use. They will be designing a solution to a problem given to them at the contest, thus will need a computer to create their solution. Please ensure the computer/software will work offline or on a restricted guest network. We will provide each team with measurement devices and a notebook to use during the competition. Facilithon – HS Individual 20 Friday
If you’re looking for a quick, meaningful way to introduce students to a high-demand career path with strong pay and real variety, the Facilithon is a great opportunity.
Students can try Facilithon at the upcoming Regional Competition at UW-Stout, giving them hands-on experience and helping them feel more prepared for the Wisconsin SkillsUSA State Competition. The time commitment is minimal (just 30 – 45 minutes) but the impact can be significant.
